To install the Pervasive Single-User Engine on your computer:
If you are installing for multiple users to share data, the Pervasive.SQL Server Engine needs to be installed first. Instructions for this installation are NOT included here. They would be included with the purchased copy of the engine.If you are installing for a single user, select this option: Download DB Engine For Windows XP
or Download DB Engine For Windows 7 and install the Pervasive Workgroup Engine.
Select Run (not Save).. The screen will appear as follows:
Click the Install button to continue.
Make sure all other programs are closed before continuing. Click the Next button to continue.
Click the Yes button to continue.
Click the Next button to continue.
Click the Next button to continue.
Click the Install button to continue
Click the Finish button to continue.
Click the X in the top right corner button to close the registration. You do not need to register.
Click the Next button to continue.
Click the Next button to continue.
Click the Next button to continue.
Click the Next button to continue.
Click the Finish button to continue. This completes the installation of the Pervasive Engine.
If you are installing for Windows XP, select this option: Download DB Engine For Windows XP next.
